About the role and about you

Using your creativity, outstanding conciliation, negotiation and communication skills, you’ll apply fairness in resolving cases between energy and water customers from diverse backgrounds and their providers.

You’ll embrace change and have a thirst to grow and enjoy nothing more than collaborating with your amazing team of like-minded professionals to work as part of an organisation here to help the Victorian community.

You’ll succeed with your:

  • Sound understanding of alternative dispute resolution (conciliation, investigation and negotiation) or a legal background
  • Understanding of the concept of independence and the ability to work in a way that upholds the highest levels of impartiality
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills, coupled with the ability to highlight important factors, and effectively articulate and summarise the information you have received
  • Desire to help others and represent fairness

Your new organisation

The Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) (EWOV) is a not-for-profit, independent and impartial dispute resolution service.

We provide Victorian energy and water customers with free, accessible and informal dispute resolution.
