Bill Crews Foundation, we’re looking for a dynamic and compassionate Community Engagement Support Worker to join our Social Health & Wellbeing Services team on a casual basis.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building meaningful relationships with our guests to identify their needs and provide support.
  • Walking the floor, engaging in conversations, and offering a listening ear.
  • Providing information, referrals, and advocacy using trauma-informed care practices.
  • Assisting guests with essential needs like food parcels, toiletries, and clothing.
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team of Intake Workers, Case Managers, and Health Professionals.
  • Helping guests navigate pathways to internal and external services.
  • Contributing to the team’s growth by sharing ideas and experiences.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate communicator with excellent listening skills.
  • Experience in social work, welfare, or a related field.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
  • A team player who’s resilient, empathetic, and solutions-driven.
  • Knowledge of homelessness, mental health, and alcohol and drug support is a big plus.

What You’ll Need:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work or similar.

A current National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
