Fams is the NSW peak body that represents the child protection NGO early intervention and prevention sector.
The key role of the Director Policy and Practice is supporting the CEO to advocate for, strengthen and connect our sector to enhance outcomes for NSW children, young people and communities. This includes contribution to state and national dialogue, consultation on key issues affecting the sector and contributing to working groups and the facilitation of Fams led Networks and Communities of Practice.
We are seeking an innovative, creative senior team member who aligns with our values and has a passion for making a difference. A degree level qualification and a minimum of 5 years clinical experience in social work, psychology or other related discipline is essential for this role. You will have exceptional communications skills, experience in writing discussion papers/briefings as well as effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and develop strong collaborative working relationships with key partners.
