For 20 years FareShare has been rescuing quality food and cooking it into nutritious meals for people doing it tough. From humble origins baking a few hundred pies each week, FareShare now operates Australia’s largest charity kitchens where our chefs and volunteers work hand in hand to cook more than 10,000 free meals a day for people in need.
FareShare grows vegetables at three kitchen gardens in Melbourne to add vital nutrition to our meals. We are seeking an experienced horticulturalist to lead this operation.
The Kitchen Garden Program Manager oversees the daily operations of all three of these sites and supervises volunteers to plant, maintain, and harvest seasonal vegetable crops.
This exciting position requires someone with extensive experience in horticulture, and in managing large-scale vegetable gardens. The Kitchen Garden Manager is based at our largest growing site in Clarinda.
