Farm My School is a not-for-profit organisation which collaborates with schools to transform their under-utilised grounds into regenerative farms that nourish, educate and connect communities. Inspired by a vision of a healthier future for our people and the planet, we're redefining how farming and food production can shape education, inspire, and foster stronger and more resilient communities.
Farm My School's unique approach goes beyond farming - it’s about transforming the way we educate, engage and consume food.
The Community Engagement Manager (CEM) will lead efforts to establish a membership program, attract corporate sponsorships, assist in organising events, and cultivate valuable partnerships. In addition, the role will focus on engaging volunteers, strengthening community relationships, and enhancing FMS’s presence across local and broader networks.
By focusing on these areas, the CEM will help ensure that FMS continues to grow and successfully delivers on its mission to promote regenerative farming, community resilience, and food security.
Hours: 2 days per week (15.2 hours) for 12 months, with a 3 month probationary period.
Salary: $75,000 + super (pay will be pro-rata 0.4 FTE)
You’re a natural communicator with a passion for building meaningful relationships. With your experience in community engagement, public relations, or marketing, you know how to inspire, connect, and mobilise people towards a common cause. You’re an organised, proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You have a strong ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring high-quality outcomes. Whether it’s developing a membership program, securing sponsorships, or running successful community events, you bring creativity and strategic thinking to the table.
You’re a collaborative team player with a positive attitude, eager to roll up your sleeves and contribute to the growth of Farm My School. Your passion for regenerative farming, connected communities and a healthy, equitable and sustainable food system aligns with our mission, and your energy and determination will drive our impact. Above all, you understand the power of community and how to foster deep, long-lasting relationships that contribute to positive change.
Farm My Schools offers a combination of flexible, remote work options with regular on-site hours (equivalent to one day a fortnight) at Bellarine Secondary College and other locations as required. This role requires flexibility for promotion and community engagement activities. You'll also enjoy access to seasonal surplus vegetables from our regenerative farm.
