<h3>Job Purpose</h3>
<p>The Business Development Executive contributes to the organisation by (1) meeting, virtually and physically with customers for product trainings and relationship building; (2) representing the company and its products at symposia, conferences and tradeshows.</p>
<p>The position requires strong attention to detail, on-time follow-up and follow-through with customer and opportunity management.</p>
<h3>Duties and responsibilities</h3>
<p><strong>Business Development Executive duties include but are not limited to:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Creates and implements strategic sales account plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.</li>
<li>Builds and maintains good relationships with customers through regular phone contact, e-mails or personal contacts to generate revenue and support customer accounts.</li>
<li>Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.</li>
<li>Work closely with colleagues and management to develop and implement strategies based on market conditions and company objectives.</li>
<li>Travel to and represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products, build relationships and conduct training workshops.</li>
<li>Identify business leads with existing and potential customers through continuous interaction across the environmental community.</li>
<li>Through active probing and listening, conduct discovery sessions with qualified leads to identify client needs and determine the appropriate product solution(s).</li>
<li>Pipeline management and territory planning using corporate CRM.</li>
<li>Relatability with customer audience such Biologists, Ecologists, Land Managers,<br />Researchers and Scientists</li>
<li>In addition to the above, other projects may be assigned.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5 years in field sales experience essential.</li>
<li>The candidate must be proactive and self-motivated to work independently and show consistent professionalism and good judgement.</li>
<li>The position requires regular travel predominantly within Australia and New Zealand with the ability to work full-time in Australia. Faunatech cannot undertake via sponsorships. A full Australian driver&rsquo;s license is required.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Knowledge and experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience and proficiency in use of bat detectors, wildlife audio recorders and sonograms preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft, Google Suite, Zoom and other IT tools.</li>
<li>Understanding/experience of going to conferences, tradeshows etc is preferred.</li>
<li>Basic understanding about Faunatech products (full training given).</li>
<li>Appreciation of the strategic importance to the business of relationships with organisations and individuals.</li>
<li>Experience with CRM, preferably HubSpot or NetSuite.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Education</h3>
<p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent, preferably in the zoological and/or environmental sciences.</p>
<h3>Working conditions</h3>
<p>Work is on-site at Rydalmere, NSW performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.</p>
