We are looking for values-driven, compassionate, and empathetic Female Support Workers to join our unbeatable team at Rose Villa Supported Accommodation at Roseville.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

“We are three young women who love music, fashion, nail polish, bush walks, cafes, sport and visiting our families. Our home is filled with warmth and love and has been set up especially for us and our needs. We need some more wonderful people to join our circle of support. If you have experience in caring, an energetic and uplifting personality, and would like to do some meaningful work, please read on to learn more.”

You will be providing support for three young women within their home and out in the community. Home and community-based activities are centred on their needs and interests, such as going shopping, to the cafés, or supporting them if they need to be driven to various appointments or to visit their families. Additionally, you will be encouraging and supporting them to become more independent, using a person-centered approach to tailor the support to each individual's unique goals and aspirations.

We are looking for reliable, committed, and empathetic individuals to provide quality support to our valued Housemates.

THE ROLE INCLUDES:

  • Delivering personalised support
  • Following health care plans and protocols to ensure consistency and quality of care. This includes supporting with medication administration, personal care, and other health-related needs as outlined in the care plan.
  • Supporting housemates to engage and participate in their community
  • Complete and enter shift notes and maintain accurate records and documentation related to care plans, progress, incidents, and behavioural patterns.
  • Support individuals in managing challenging behaviour by following individualized behaviour management plans and strategies created by healthcare practitioners.
  • Encourage the development of independent living skills by providing opportunities for individuals to learn and practice new skills.

YOUR SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • No experience required, we will train you along the way
  • A passion for moving the dial for individuals with disability
  • A commitment to providing responsive, person-centred, and considerate care
  • A positive and energetic personality
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Flexible and adaptive communication skills, with a willingness to learn.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Female
  • Able to work a range of shifts including short shifts and Sleepovers
  • Be over 21 years of age
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Posses a valid workers Working with Children Check
  • Possess a Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID003) Certificate and confident driving in metro sydney as well as on highways
  • Full Australian Driver's Licence, or P2 - No International licences
  • Rights to work in Australia with minimum 6 months remaining on Visa
