Base Housing Collective are seeking value-driven, compassionate and empathetic female Support Workers for our housemates living in our supported homes on the Northern Beaches & Upper North Shore.
The Role
- Be a part of a team of like minded women who are passionate and dedicated to delivering the highest level of quality care and support to our amazing Housemates.
- Our Supported homes are viewed as our Housemates launching pad into their community, and we are committed to supporting them in achieving their full potential to reach their goals and maximise their independence.
- Our housemates are active and love being out and about, enjoying themselves including days at the beach
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to clients with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support Housemates with personal care and medication administration
- Support housemates to access and participate in their community
- Follow and implement individualised support plans to meet clients' needs and goals
- Monitor and document clients' progress in the Client management system and communicate with to the House Manager
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes clients' independence and social inclusion
- Engage with families, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required
Requirements
- Flexibility
- Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID003) Certificates
- Fully Covid Vaccination including Booster
- Driver's Licence (access to a vehicle a plus)
- Rights to work in Australia
