ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Trainer (Academy) is responsible for supporting Trainees with their day to day-to-day activities, including the delivery of 1:1 and group-based support against Jigsaw’s Employment Pathway. Alongside Trainers, Senior Trainers are also required to support Trainees with work experience at Jigsaw alongside all personal care and mealtime assistance to enable all Trainees to meet and exceed their employment goals. In addition, the Senior Trainer (Academy) is responsible, alongside other Senior Trainers (Academy), to develop resources to support Jigsaw’s Employment Pathway.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide direct training and support to Trainees
• Develop resources, in line with the Jigsaw Employment Pathway for 1:1 and group-based training sessions
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Provide guidance of best practice, train and mentor other Trainers working alongside the Zone Manager
• Complete administration and reporting activities – daily notes, incident reports, Trainee progression tracking
• Ensure the Zone is kept clean, neat and tidy and ensure adherence to Jigsaw’s health and safety policies and procedures
• Provide communication to trainees, allied health professionals, carers, and/or families
• Other ad hoc duties as required by the Training Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• A relevant qualification in Training/Teaching/Allied Health and/or 2+ years previous experience in a position with transferable skills to the position
• Possess a working knowledge of occupational health and safety practices
• Demonstrated experience in supervising a team
• Experience in training, development or education setting is desirable

• Possess a or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR(HLTAID003) certificate
