Financial Counselling Australia (FCA) is the national peak body for the financial counselling sector. Our mission is to build and support the financial counselling workforce, increase access to services, and advocate for a fairer financial marketplace. We operate the Small Business Debt Helpline, coordinate the National Debt Helpline, and support an extensive network of financial counselling initiatives.

As a part of our strategy to enhance operational effectiveness, we are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to support our growing needs and help maintain a seamless, secure, and user-friendly IT environment.

Position Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator will work closely with our IT Manager, supporting critical functions in identity and device management, application administration, web and domain management, helpdesk support, and vendor relationships. This role is ideal for an IT professional with a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate in a small, creative, and purpose-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

Identity Management (Microsoft Entra):

  • Manage user/guest account lifecycles
  • Assign and manage group access controls and enforce conditional access policies
  • Monitor for security intrusions and respond proactively to potential threats

Device Management:

  • Administer devices using Mosyle MDM & Apple Business Manager for Macs, and Intune for Windows
  • Handle application patching and updates
  • Manage hardware assets, including purchasing and logistics for a primarily remote workforce

Application Administration:

  • Provide administration and support for:
  • Azure services, Power BI, SharePoint, and MS 365 Suite
  • Bitwarden, DocuSign, Freshworks, SpinAI (DLP), Dynamics 365, Twilio, and other critical platforms
  • Monitor application performance and ensure integration across FCA’s various platforms

Web, Domain, and DNS Management:

  • Manage multi-vendor setups for web, domain, and DNS management
  • Oversee security protocols (DMARC, SPF, DKIM) for email and web domains
  • Use Google Analytics, Google Workspace, and MS PowerPages to monitor web performance and engagement

Helpdesk and User Support:

  • Provide timely, on-demand support for FCA team members and users across all applications
  • Facilitate user onboarding, training sessions, and ongoing support

Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Coordinate with key vendors including Microsoft, Freshworks, DocuSign, Mosyle, Bitwarden, and others to ensure optimal service and support for FCA’s IT needs
  • Manage contracts, negotiate renewals, and maintain documentation of vendor services

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT administration and support, ideally in a non-profit or mission-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra/Azure AD, MDM
  • Proficiency in application administration, including Power BI, SharePoint, and the MS 365 suite
  • Knowledge of web and domain management, including DNS, security protocols, and web analytics
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach
