Family Life is a recognised Employer of Choice. Work with us and be part of our supportive, people-focused culture.
The Specialist Family Violence Practitioner is a Full Time, Fixed Term Contract position dedicated to delivering intensive, innovative and holistic interventions to Adults Using Family Violence (AUFV). The primary aim of the program is to enhance the safety of victim-survivors through the facilitation of Men’s Behaviour Change Programs, utilising both group and individual counselling sessions.
Our Men’s Behaviour Change Program is predominantly delivered through face-to-face group and individual sessions at our Frankston, Cheltenham, Mentone, and Sandringham sites. Currently, some sessions are conducted remotely; however, there is a strategic plan to transition these to in-person formats to better serve our clients and community.
This position requires flexibility to work across various Family Life locations and adapt to both in-person and online service delivery as needed.
You are Bachelor qualified in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Family Therapy or a related field and have experience co-facilitating Men’s Behaviour Change Programs and/or group-based behavioural change interventions. You have a sound knowledge of the complexities of family violence and working with Adults Using Family Violence (AUFV) and have the proven ability to coordinate and oversee a caseload of AUFV.
Please note that you must meet the Mandatory Minimum qualifications as per Rec 209 to be considered for this role link here.
