Remote / Work from Home
At FORE Australia we believe that no well-researched solution should be left gathering dust, sidelined simply because it goes unnoticed or misunderstood.
That’s why as a volunteer-led, nonpartisan social enterprise, we at FORE Australia are building the country’s first Solutions Library of 1-page policy briefs. A free, online resource that is quickly becoming a go-to platform for decision-makers and the public alike to swiftly access and discover ideas. As we say “Solution Searches Start Here”.
Each 1-page brief and associated web page not only outlines a solution but functions like an open letter, showcasing endorsements from experts and organisations. This allows readers to gauge the level of existing support for each solution, highlighting its credibility and backing within the community.
Founded in 2024, so far we have around 20 briefs in the library and are meeting with dozens of experts, advocacy organisations, politicians, and more. By the end of 2025 we are projected to have over 500 briefs in the library and will have trained over 250+ people in policy research and communication.
Join us to be at the FOREfront of change and to help us deliver meaningful policy outcomes.
Join FORE Australia’s virtual/remote Policy Internship/Training Program and gain practical experience in policy research and communication. You’ll work closely with our team to research, write, and refine concise policy briefs to publish in Australia’s first free, online Solutions Library.
The program is designed to equip you with the skills to translate complex ideas into actionable policy solutions and prepare you to make an impact in the policy space.
Work collaboratively in a large, motivated cohort, where peer learning and support are at the heart of the experience. You’ll also connect with guest speakers, academic/NGO partners, and decision-makers, expanding your professional network.
As part of the program, you’ll receive targeted training and mentorship, all while contributing to work that directly reaches decision-makers.
If you’re passionate about making a difference through policy, this is your chance to kickstart your policy career.

"This program offered practical, hands-on policy experience that went beyond anything I’d encountered in my studies. It bridged the gap between learning about policy and actually creating it."
"Meeting partners and guest speakers gave me insights I couldn’t get anywhere else. Representing FORE Australia in these spaces was both inspiring and empowering."
“The autonomy I had during the program was incredible. I was able to dive into policy areas I was passionate about and develop briefs that really aligned with my interests. It made the work so much more meaningful."
You’re passionate about creating real change and eager to contribute to meaningful policy work. Curious and self-motivated, you thrive when given autonomy to explore your interests while delivering impactful results. You’re excited by the opportunity to collaborate with peers, learn from guest speakers, and engage with partners and decision-makers.
Whether you’re a student, a recent graduate, or someone looking to gain experience in policy, we’d love to hear from you! What we value most are passion, drive, persistence, and collaboration, strong research and writing skills and a knack for problem-solving is an absolute bonus!
If you’re ready to be part of a mission-driven organisation, translating your passion into real-world solutions, we’d love to have you on board!
