ABOUT FOUR PAWS

FOUR PAWS is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them. Our programs and campaigns focus on stray dogs and cats, companion animals, farm animals, wild animals kept in inappropriate conditions and animals affected by disasters and conflicts. In our sanctuaries, we provide a safe home for rescued big cats, bears, orangutans and elephants around the world.

THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to empower the Australian team, by bringing greater coordination and efficiency, providing management, team and project support on a broad variety of task and areas of work.

Reporting to the Director Australia, This key role will assist the Director by organising workflow and tasks, to ensure the best utilisation of their time, provide critical operational assistance to the Management Team, and take ownership of a variety of operational projects.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to animal welfare globally, and empower the FOUR PAWS Australia team.

WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK MIGHT LOOK LIKE

  • Manage the flow of information from stakeholders and prepare briefings for the Director on a variety of topics
  • Assist with stakeholder management and follow up on behalf of the National Director
  • Schedule and coordinate a busy calendar and inbox, resolving diary conflicts
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure project milestones are on track
  • Assist with the preparation of compelling presentations
  • Coordinate and collate content for monthly reports, including collation of submissions from various teams

  • You are adaptable, energetic and self-motivated
  • You are technologically savvy & proficient in Microsoft Tools and systems
  • You have a collaborative working style
  • You are outcomes focused and consistent in meeting deadlines and demands
  • You're a skilled generalist, with the confidence to hit the ground running
  • You’re comfortable self-directing, but also work well as part of a team
  • You can translate the big picture vision into action
  • You exercise discretion with sensitive information and always maintain confidentiality.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Paid experience in similar role
  • Proven success supporting Leadership, with excellent time management and project coordination skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Proficiency preparing various documents (presentations, agendas, minutes, letters, internal briefings, reports, etc.)
