Brisbane community radio station, 4ZZZ, is looking for a part-time Sponsorship Manager, someone who would be responsible for the management of overall sponsorship income at 4ZZZ. This role is part-time (nine days a fortnight) and offers commission on top of the salary.

This role ensures budgets are met through selling sponsorship campaigns to 4ZZZ’s established client base, as well as investigating new clients and sponsors. The Sponsorship Manager is in charge of executing campaigns in adherence to station policy and the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) codes that govern sponsorship on community radio. The Sponsorship Manager also plays a crucial role in securing contra for campaigns such as our annual Radiothon subscriber drive.

This role requires a solid sales and customer service background, strong connections to the music, arts and business community, a knowledge of 4ZZZ ethos and culture and an ability to think creatively to achieve results that benefit 4ZZZ and the client.

As the station heads towards its 50th Birthday in December of 2025 it is a very exciting time to get involved with Queensland's longest running FM station.

About 4ZZZ

4ZZZ is Queensland’s longest running FM radio station. As a not-for-profit community broadcaster, we have been reliably pumping out alternative music, news and culture since we began at the University of Queensland in 1975.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated success in sales, sponsorship or customer service roles.
  • Existing networks within the Brisbane small business, media, music and arts communities.
  • Knowledge of community radio sponsorship regulations.
  • Strong understanding of external 4ZZZ stakeholders.
  • Strong copywriting experience.
  • Audio production experience desired but not essential.
  • Experience managing and training desired but not essential.
  • Knowledge of 4ZZZ and community broadcasting sector.
