About the role

  • Fixed Term Full Time - until March 2026 (maternity relief)
  • Based across our Metropolitan Clinics (Newington, Fairfield and Penrith)

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Manager to join our professional and dynamic team. You will be a hands-on leader with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for the overall management of statewide clinical support services. The right candidate will bring excellent leadership, integrity and compassion to the role. Position Summary

Statewide services currently include call centre (call handling and clinical appointment bookings), Talkline, Pregnancy Choices Helpline, SEARCH project and statewide clinical services (clinical reminders, results management, medical officer support for nurse-led services). The Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of these statewide services to ensure their effective and efficient operations, in collaboration with the Practice Managers for the Family Planning Australia clinics across NSW. The position is responsible for leadership of a team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff, ensuring that clients/consumers receive the best possible service. Other core components of the role incorporate financial and human resource management functions.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Degree qualifications in management, business, health, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a management role
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to manage all aspects of day-to-day operations within a healthcare setting
  • Strong business acumen, particularly with regards to financial and human resource management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to effectively relate to a diverse range of people
  • Proven excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and to provide a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse issues systematically and develop innovative solutions
  • Able to adapt to new digital systems and willing to learn how to operate clinical administrative systems necessary for success in the role (Best Practice, Hot Doc, My Health Record).
  • Willing to learn and apply clinical accreditation requirements relevant to the role
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s License and ability to travel throughout NSW
  • Must have Australian working rights

Desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in managing call centres and/or helplines

Other requirements

  • A Criminal Record Check is required prior to commencement in the role
