About the role

This is a production management role that requires a strong understanding of the event industry particularly in a logistics and operations capacity.

The role is to support the team through coordinating elements such as transport, crewing, equipment, supplier management and general logistical problem solving.

A knowledge of event construction would be advantageous, as would practical skills on the tools. No need to be a builder but being able to fix the odd thing would be expected.

It can be a physical role with the occasional need to load/unload vehicles.

Specific project based elements include developing site plans, schedules, permits, site mgmt and technical elements. An understanding of technical production such as AV, lighting and power would be advantageous but not essential.

About you

You are able to handle high-paced and intense projects. You have attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to deal with high pressure work loads and timeframes.

You’re good with people and can run a team on the ground in these high pressured situations. You have initiative, motivation and are able to anticipate problems before they arise.

You are able to pick up on small details that others may miss. Note the method for applying.

The essential ‘must-haves’ include:

  • Minimum of 3 years of production or operations experience
  • Commitment to sustainability
  • Logistics know-how
  • Valid driver license
  • A basic understanding of construction

The ‘nice-to-haves’ list isn’t essential but would be highly desirable:

  • CAD skills. (2D plans)
  • Fork lift license
  • Truck license
  • Technical production knowledge
  • A creative eye

Frank Wild is an events company that is sustainability and design focussed. We are a tight knit and supportive team that works hard but we’re also partial to a Friday afternoon beverage or two. Sometimes on a Thursday if the whim takes us.

We do 9 day fortnights. Sometimes you might work more than that. Sometimes less.

We don’t do 9-5.

We trust our team to get the job done on time in the window that works best for them.

Our office is in Abbotsford, but we also regularly work from home whenever it works better for our personal life.
