About the role
The Finance Manager is responsible for providing strong and reliable financial reporting internally and externally.
In this management role, key responsibilities include:
- Providing high quality and timely reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, Finance & Audit Committee and Board encompassing financial planning, performance reporting, audits and transaction support.
- Managing and influencing people and processes across the organisation as they intersect with business operations.
- Ensure compliance across financial and legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Effective identification, design and implementation of systems and process improvements.
It is expected the Finance Manager will have the leadership attributes to fulfil the CFO/COO role in an Acting capacity, as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Appropriate qualifications including membership of CA or CPA. At least 3 years’ experience in a finance manager or senior accounting role.
- Ability to work autonomously and with initiative, demonstrating strong attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to manage complex competing priorities and meet timelines.
- Experience in providing a broad range of finance and accounting services including financial accounting, management reporting, and external audits.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing budgets and forecasts, and supporting tenders and business case development.
- Strong analytical and management accounting skills and the ability to clearly present business insights.
- Strong financial literacy and understanding of divisional management accounting practices, in particular knowledge and application of accounting standards as they relate in a NFP setting
- Experience operating within Office 365 suite of systems and tools. Familiarity with cloud-based and emerging business technologies.
- Demonstrated aptitude for identifying and supporting innovation and change management in a corporate services setting.
