This role will be hybrid with some work from home and onsite in Richmond (NSW). There may be some travel around the country.
Position Requirements
Develop and maintain Fusion’s quality and compliance practices
Ensure Fusion meets its compliance obligations, including in the key areas of:
- Child Safety,
- Housing standards (state specific),
- Mental Health Standards,
- NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework,
- My Aged Care (MAC), including CHSP and Home Care Package guidelines, and
- Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards including fire safety, emergency management, and risk.
- Develop and coordinate resources to support the capacity of centres and FBM leaders to comply with relevant standards.
- Monitor service agreements to ensure Fusion is tracking according to agreed terms:
- Ensuring timely reporting,
- Preparing external audit and funding reports, and
- Developing Fusion’s data collection tool
Champion a culture of Child Safety
- Work with Fusion’s Program Leadership team to ensure a culture of child safety is practiced across all locations, including through the implementation of child safe practices.
Develop Fusion’s policy and procedure bank
- Review, update, and enforce compliance policies across FBM and Fusion National.
Conduct regular training and internal audits
- Maintain necessary training requirements across Fusion to ensure staff capacity is adequate for service delivery, including enlistment of external training providers where relevant.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure Fusion’s policies and processes are being implemented across different locations.
Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with Fusion team members and leaders to ensure compliance is being implemented.
- Ensure regular touch points to monitor and develop effective processes and support teams to deliver programs safely.
- Maintain working relationship with various external bodies, such as funding bodies, regulators, and subcontractors, and ensure valid licenses and accreditations are maintained.
Oversee and maintain digital and physical records
- Ensure record keeping is in line with regulatory and privacy standards, including ensuring the proper documentation of client interactions, approvals, and modifications.
Human Resources
Support leaders in key HR functions, including:
- Staff recruitment and onboarding
- Monitoring current staff
- Maintaining training and credentials
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Fusion staff members to ensure compliance standards are being implemented in a timely manner.
- Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders, maintaining a reputation for professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain updated knowledge and awareness of legislation and regulations that impact Fusion’s service delivery.
- Change management and implementation.
- Report writing
- Development of feedback mechanisms including outputs and outcomes measurement.
- Qualifications/Experience: Qualification in a field within the youth and community sector, compliance, risk management or business administration.
- Compliance management: Experience with compliance and reporting systems within the Not-for-Profit or Government sectors, with a demonstrated understanding of the various compliance standards that impact FBM and Fusion centres nationally.
- Stakeholder management: stakeholder management skills with proven ability to connect with, build and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate changes to operational practices.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and work independently within a national framework.
- Administrative skills: Including quality report writing, experience handling confidential files, developing policies and procedures, and managing service agreements.
