Creative Director / CEO

Gasworks Arts Park

A rare opportunity has opened up to lead Gasworks Arts Inc. as it embarks on a new strategic direction.

Situated between Port Phillip Bay and Albert Park Lake on the traditional lands of the Kulin Nations, Gasworks Arts Park is a place for gathering and transformation. Over the last 40 years the community has developed the precinct into a thriving arts and cultural destination, with its heritage buildings housing two theatres, art galleries, artist studios & workshops, offices and a cafe.

Our vision is for a creative precinct where people gather for connection and to experience the transformative effects of art, nature, heritage and culture.

The organisation is based in the park and has capability to stage indoor and outdoor productions, exhibitions, events, festivals and markets. Nearby there is public transport, beach bike path, easy parking, walkable neighbourhood and the Victoria Avenue and Bay Street shopping villages.

Gasworks Arts has a productive partnership with funding support from City of Port Phillip. We are proud to contribute to Council’s vision of a liveable and vibrant City that enhances the wellbeing of our community. Council’s 2025 Gasworks Park Upgrade will deliver significant improvements to outdoor amenity, facilities and capacity for activation as the community ‘cultural backyard’.

We have recently reviewed Gasworks’ strategic and programming priorities and are looking for a special individual to lead, influence and navigate change, while continuing to ensure a welcoming space for all.
