About the JCTS

Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (the RACGP). JCTS will enable RACGP and ACRRM to deliver shared GP training activities for the Colleges’ respective fellowship training programs and includes the development and delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health strategic plans, cultural education and cultural mentorship, the provision of registrar housing in some remote Northern Territory and communities and other potential areas of collaboration.

Your ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail and a smile on your face will enable the effective flow of information and communication to all stakeholders.

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

  • Experience in the coordination of travel and accommodation logistics
  • Experience with supporting event coordination
  • An ability to think clearly and problem solve and triage, refer and consult appropriately
  • Work well in a team environment, be flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Intermediate MS Office skills in applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, online learning management and customer relationship management systems

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Manager of the JCTS NSW & ACT team, this key role provides a range of administrative tasks and procedures that underpin the program and activities of the regional JCTS team to deliver on its strategic plan initiatives.

Some responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the initial point of contact for the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) sector of NSW and ACT, and other internal / external stakeholders related to the delivery of the regional JCTS strategic plan
  • Providing administrative support and events management for the regional JCTS team including forums, meetings, workshops and travel
  • Supporting the effective flow of information and communication to all stakeholders with the support of the regional manager
  • Efficiently maintaining electronic and manual filing systems for regional and state portfolios
