About the JCTS

Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (the RACGP). JCTS will enable RACGP and ACRRM to deliver shared GP training activities for the Colleges’ respective fellowship training programs and includes the development and delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health strategic plans, cultural education and cultural mentorship, the provision of registrar housing in some remote Northern Territory and communities and other potential areas of collaboration.

As our Administration Officer, you’ll be passionate about being part of a team that makes a positive impact on improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal &Torres Strait Islander peoples and their communities. You are eager to learn and have a strong work ethic. To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

  • strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience with supporting event coordination
  • able to problem solve and triage
  • work well in a busy team environment and be able to work independently, flexibly and under pressure
  • intermediate MS Office skills in applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, online learning management and customer relationship management systems.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Manager, South East QLD, you will provide a range of administrative tasks and procedures that support the cultural program and activities delivered by our South East Queensland JCTS team. Some responsibilities will include:

  • providing secretariat support and events management including forums, meetings, workshops and travel
  • act as an initial point of contact for the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and other internal/external stakeholders
  • supporting the effective flow of information and communication to all stakeholders
  • efficiently maintain electronic and manual filing systems
