About the role

GSA are seeking a skilled Bid Manager to join our team and lead the bid proposal process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the bid lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification through to proposal submission and post-submission follow up activities. The Bid Manager will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders to develop winning proposals that align with the company's strategic objectives, areas of expertise and meet client requirements. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and evaluate potential bid opportunities by monitoring tender portals, industry news, client communications and utilising relationships and networks.
  • Lead the bid qualification process to determine the feasibility and strategic fit of pursuing specific opportunities.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive bid strategies and win themes.
  • Manage the bid development process, including organising kick-off meetings, establishing timelines, and assigning responsibilities.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of bid documentation to ensure compliance with client requirements and adherence to standards.
  • Work with Co-CEO’s to develop pricing strategies and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Write and edit proposal content ensuring clarity and alignment with client needs and evaluation criteria.
  • Facilitate proposal review meetings, incorporating feedback from key GSA stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractor, partners and suppliers to gather necessary inputs for bid submissions.
  • Develop and maintain a bid library of reusable content, templates and best practices to streamline the bid process.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities and market dynamics across both government and private sectors to inform bid strategies.
  • Develop and provide update reports on bid activity, including win/loss analysis and lessons learned.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in bid management, proposal development and related roles within the professional services industry.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, contract management and proposal best practices in both government and private sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements as needed.

Other useful qualities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the barriers experienced by people with disability is desired.
