As an Aquatic Education Teacher for Glen Eira Leisure (GEL), you will conduct swimming lessons for one of two School groups:
Your role will contribute to building the self-esteem of children, enhance their confidence and provide professional swimming and water safety instruction in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. We want swimming lessons to be the best part of a child's day!
We offer a unique opportunity to those wanting to become Aquatic Education Teachers by providing Swim Teacher qualifications for all successful candidates.
Short listed candidates will be invited to attend an interview on one of the following dates;
If successful, you will also be invited to attend the following 2-day Swim Teacher course held at GESAC which will be subsidised by GEL:
Saturday 13 July and Sunday 14 July 2024 from 8.30am to 5.30pm
Please note that Swim Teacher training hours must be completed at GESAC within 3 weeks of course completion.

Glen Eira Leisure (GEL) is a part of Glen Eira City Council (GECC). GEL owns and operates three industry leading aquatic and recreation facilities and prides itself on providing leading edge services to all ages and members of the community. Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) is one of Australia's premier Sports and Aquatic Centres that features state of the art aquatics, fitness, sports, rehabilitation, wellness, café and occasional care facilities. Carnegie Memorial Swim Centre (CMSC) is a seasonal outdoor pool which has been servicing the community for over 60 years. Caulfield Recreation Centre (CRC) is a fully equipped gym which offers personal training and group fitness classes. With over 1.7 million attendances annually, these popular facilities are widely used by the local and regional community.
