About the role

In this fulfilling leadership role, you will have the opportunity to guide, inspire and support capable and passionate team. Your mission will be to lead with heart, ensuring that out residents feel safe, valued and cared for every day. You'll help create a resident-first culture, where each team member plays a vital part in enriching the lives of those we care for.

The role reports to the Manager, Life Stages.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading with empathy and care, creating exceptional experiences for residents while ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Supporting a strong, collaborative team that embraces our values and standards.
  • Ensuring compliance and timely reporting as required by the Aged Care Act and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Accreditation and standards.
  • Managing the facility’s budget with a focus on providing excellent care while being responsible with resources.
  • Preparing reports in a way that is clear and helpful to both our team, Councillors and our broader Glen Eira staff and community.
  • Promoting continuous improvement and fostering a supportive, growth-oriented environment for your team in line with Glen Eira’s values.

About you

You are a natural leader who thrives in making meaningful connections. You bring with you years of experience leading teams in aged care, with a strong focus on delivering compassionate, person-centered care. Your emotional intelligence, combined with your expertise, enables you to handle challenges with understanding and grace.

What you’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Nursing (AHPRA registration) or Human Services.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Facility Manager, with a passion for leading teams and supporting their growth.
  • A deep understanding of the Aged Care Act, quality care standards and the AN-ACC funding process.
  • Knowledge of software systems including Microsoft suite of products, Leecare (or similar database product), My Aged Care, PRODA and GPMS.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with residents, their families, and your team.
  • A commitment to maintaining up-to-date immunisations and a clear working with children check.
