Role Purpose

The Program Support Worker is an integral member of the family violence team and supports the provision of a strengths-based and trauma informed response to women and young people.

This role works closely with the family violence case management team. The role combines both work with the client directly and working on other case management needs to support women and young people to achieve their identified goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the case management team to complete tasks identified by women and young people.
  • Support administrative functions associated with the provision of material aid and other goods and services including establishing/managing relationship with external contractors/suppliers.
  • Arrange and facilitate access to appointments for clients.
  • Support in the provision of accommodation to clients.
  • Complete data entry of client referral information into the Client Management system.

About you

  • Qualification in Diploma of Community Services or equivalent that can be considered for this role.
  • Understanding of MARAM (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework)
  • Experience in interacting/working with victim survivors of family violence
  • Demonstrated understanding of a trauma informed approach with victim survivors
  • Strong commitment to and capacity for teamwork and collaboration
