Role Purpose

Our purpose-led Senior Project Officer will support our Good Shepherd Institute team as we roll out key strategic projects that will have profound impact on how we engage with our clients, how we measure our impact and how we operationalise our 2023-2027 strategy.

This role will support the operational excellence of design and project delivery of the Good Shepherd Institute. You will report to the Strategic Optimisation Lead, work closely with GSI’s leadership team, and work cross-functionally with teams across GSANZ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, planning, delivering and coordinating projects within GSI, preparing project documentation, tools and materials, monitoring project lifecycles, from planning to implementation, coordinating internal and stakeholders, and undertaking project work, as required.
  • Collaboratively drive projects with subject matter experts across the organisation, and where required, with external consultants or contractors; encourages collaboration, teamwork, and conflict resolution within the project team.
  • Support GSI leadership team to coordinate key projects within GSI – developing project plans, monitoring mechanisms and ensuring projects adhere to allocated budgets and milestones are being met.
  • Enabling continuous improvement and supporting stakeholders to navigate through the complexity and uncertainty.

About you

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; formal project management qualification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years) in project management and/ or strategy implementation role.
  • Proven ability to coordinate a range of administrative/project activities and support to senior staff with a capacity to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy and discretion, and a demonstrated ability to handle information in a confidential and appropriate manner.
  • Extensive experience in developing project plans, measurement and key performance Indicator frameworks and Implementation strategies to ensure successful project completion.
