Greater Shepparton City Council’s Animal Shelter has 2 positions available on a full time basis. These roles suit people who are motivated, reliable, energetic and willing to provide a high standard of domestic animal care.

The Animal Shelter cares for around 2,000 lost and surrendered animals per year with a strong record of finding new homes for our animals or reuniting them with their loved ones.

Key tasks include:

• Cleaning, medicating, feeding and assessing animals
• Providing a high level of customer service to the community
• Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and disease control
• Educating the community about animal care and wellbeing
• Administration duties including record keeping

If you have completed or are working towards a relevant certificate in an animal field such as vet nursing or animal control and regulation, have experience in handling and caring for animals, and are committed to implementing contemporary animal welfare practices, this may be the role for you!
