The Opportunity

Greenacres is seeking an experienced, values-driven and community-focused Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to deliver on our 70-year legacy of supporting people living with disability. Working in conjunction with the existing leadership team, you will be responsible for building on the organisation's current governance and strategic direction and ensuring ongoing alignment with Greenacres’ purpose and goals.

  • Office based in Wollongong
  • Leading an organisation of 270 staff and 200 people in supported employment
  • Full-time with flexible working
  • Reports to the Greenacres Board
  • Leads a four-person executive team and executive assistant

About You

We are seeking a CEO who possesses the following attributes:

  • Proven track record at the CEO or Executive Level.
  • A commitment to Greenacres’ values of fairness, inclusion, respect, excellence, and safeguarding.
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead an organisation which prides itself on good governance.

Desirable attributes include:

  • An existing understanding of the NDIS and/or lived experience with intellectual disability.
  • Skills in IT, Commercial, Legal and/or financial expertise with a demonstrated track record of compliance.

Key responsibilities

Primary expectations of the role include:

  • Making decisions that are in the best interest of Greenacres to meet its organisational objectives.
  • Building on and implementing the existing Strategic Plan to ensure Greenacres meets its purpose.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Team and Board of Directors to drive initiatives for the well-being of people with disability.
  • Interpreting and applying legal and financial obligations to guide strategic decisions.
  • Being a strong advocate for the rights of people with disability, including empowering them to have their voices heard.
  • Bringing a growth mindset to decision making and planning.

You will be required to complete the following:

  • National Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
  • WWCC
