Greenacres has three opportunities available in their Community, Life & Leisure Division, for Service Team Leaders.

Salary Range:

  • Salary based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Level 3 Pay Point 1-4 negotiable subject to qualifications and experience
  • Salary packaging options available

The Team Leader role at Kemira Day Program is responsible for delivering person-centred outcomes for older people with disability. The responsibilities include supervising and motivating team members daily in accordance with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework.

The Team Leader role at Greenacre Road is responsible for delivering person-centred outcomes for older people with disability. The responsibilities include supervising and motivating team members daily in accordance with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework.

The Team Leader role at Kembla Street supports people with severe intellectual disability, who have complex medical and high physical support needs. The responsibilities include supervising and motivating team members daily in accordance with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework.

The Team Leader must be a strong role model, demonstrating Greenacres’ values of Respect, Empathy, Integrity and Fairness.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Certificate III in Disability Work or related qualification and significant demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
  2. Demonstrated ability in building positive and professional relationships with participants, parents, other providers and co-workers.
  3. Proven commitment to using a human rights approach when supporting people with disability, and personal practices which encourage a culture of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  4. Experienced in creating a positive work environment when supervising and supporting team members, including mediation and conflict resolution.
  5. Proven commitment to listen and interact with staff members, participants, families and other stakeholders in an appropriate and respectful manner, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of goals and aspirations identified in a person’s NDIS Plan, and exploring ways in which they may be achieved.
  7. Ability to review participant and staffing ratios, and adjust accordingly to meet support requirements within NDIS funding limits.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to WHS and EEO principles. Manual handling tasks may include physical supports, examples include lifting up to 16kg, or driving/operating wheelchair accessible vehicles.
  9. Can demonstrate a high level of personal accountability in own role, including accomplishing tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision, and adhering to Greenacres policies and procedures.
  10. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Probity Requirements

  1. A current National Criminal Clearance Check less than 6 months old prior to engagement
  2. Current NSW Drivers Licence
  3. First Aid Certificate
  4. The Right to work in Australia
  5. NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Worker Orientation Module: ‘Quality, Safety and You’
  6. Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain

Desirable Requirement

  1. Experience with using a client management database.
  2. Experience with time and attendance software.
  3. Certificate IV in Disability work or equivalent.
