Get ready to join the fight for a greener, more peaceful world with Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP)! As an independent campaigning organisation, we creatively and peacefully shine a light on the urgent environmental challenges facing our planet. We don’t shy away from the tough issues, exposing global environmental problems, and developing solutions for a green and peaceful future.
At GPAP, we're not just a team; we're a movement. By joining us, you're not just taking a job – you're seizing an opportunity to make a real-world difference.
With this full-time, 1 year contract position, you'll elevate your career while elevating the cause that matters most.
Founded in 1971, Greenpeace now operates as 26 independent national/regional organisations in over 55 countries, making it collectively one of the largest environmental networks on Earth.
As the Creative Producer, you'll be the driving force behind the creation of compelling content that amplifies our mission and campaigns. Working collaboratively with Engagement, Fundraising, Campaign, and Project teams, you'll spearhead the development of strategic photo, video, design, and multimedia projects, bringing our channel and content strategies to life. Your role is pivotal in inspiring action for a green and peaceful future by producing innovative, data-driven, and audience-centric content.
You'll play a key role in developing core branded products and assets, providing creative storytelling guidance, and offering educational support to GPAP staff and other content creators. Your responsibilities extend to stakeholder relationship management, including coordination with external contractors, and ensuring the maintenance of multimedia equipment, tools, and GPAP's archive library.
Join us in making a meaningful impact through your creative expertise and commitment to our cause.
Your skills shine through in researching and producing impactful storytelling products, graphic design, and digital/print media production. You're adept at conceptualising, researching, and recruiting talent for content creation, showcasing excellent negotiation, facilitation, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of systems like Google Suite, Notion, and Slack and advanced proficiency in creative production tools, specifically Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Knowledge of photo and video archiving, contracting, licensing, and Copyright Law is a must!
Your deep familiarity with online culture and social media platforms, combined with an awareness of the diverse cultures in the Australia Pacific region, sets you apart.
Exceptional self-organisation, project management, and budgeting skills are vital. Proficiency in written and spoken English, scriptwriting, and proofreading, with a second language as a bonus, is highly valued. Your interpersonal relationship skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence are essential, especially when working with people in vulnerable circumstances. You bring a track record of producing creative content for diverse outcomes, engaging with online communities across multiple networks simultaneously.
