About the role:

Home Care Workers provide direct personal care and domestic assistance duties, social support and transport as required for customers and respite support.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure that customer's rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to customers, recognise changes in customers’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Guardian Network processes.
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with customers, their relatives and friends.
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise.

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our customers, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent. Unqualified workers will also be considered.
  • Experience in a home care setting is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in community care with a commitment to high standards of care for customers and their families.
  • Understanding of client directed care.

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working with Children check.
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance.

COVID-19 considerations: All support workers are required to wear PPE when attending to clients. In addition, support workers are required to complete COVID-19 screening questions before entering the customers' home.

  • National Police Certificate (Required)
