At Hip Healthy Happy (H.H.H.), we are a growing disability support provider dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with autism and other disabilities. We are currently seeking experienced and committed Disability Support Workers for long-term roles with career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients with autism and other disabilities, including those with behavioural challenges
• Support community access and participation: walking in the park, visiting shopping centres, having meals, attending trampoline parks, medical appointments, or drop-offs/pickups from school or daycare
• Promote independence, well-being, and social connection
• Respond calmly to behaviours of concern when required (training provided)

Who We’re Looking For

• Previous experience supporting individuals with autism and/or behaviours of concern (1 to 2 years)
• Calm, emotionally mature, and reliable
• Committed to long-term work and aligned with trauma-informed and person-centred values
• Open to learning and growing within a supportive team

Client Needs

Most of our clients do not display challenging behaviours. However, two of our participants may occasionally experience emotional or physical outbursts—typically when their needs are not fully met. As part of your role, you may support a diverse range of individuals, including these two clients.

To ensure you feel confident and prepared, we offer ongoing mentorship and support from experienced senior and fellow staff.
