Housing for the Aged Action Group is a member-based, community organisation specialising in the housing needs of older people. Coming from grass-roots beginnings 40 years ago, HAAG today has over 800 members that actively campaign for housing justice.

HAAG is committed to recruiting a diverse range of people with a diverse range of skills and experience to help us achieve our goals. About the role

Join our small, friendly team providing information, referral and support for older people at risk of homelessness. Great central city location, supportive team, satisfying work contributing to changing the lives of older people in housing stress or needing aged care assistance.

We are seeking an enthusiastic worker to join our intake and referral team at Home at Last. You will be providing office-based over the phone and face-to-face information and referral to older people across Victoria. You will have high levels of empathy for older people in stressful housing situations and a professional manner with service providers. Knowledge of the housing sector, including public and community housing, the aged care system and the health or community services sector is desirable. Experience in working within community organisations and/or speaking a language other than English will be an advantage.

All applicants must have the right to work in Australia and will be required to complete a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
