The Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing Habitat for Humanity Australia’s (HFHA) existing partnerships, securing new commercial partnerships and overseeing the corporate volunteering program.
The role provides input into HFHA’s strategic business objectives to maximise partnership support and income. It manages the necessary research, planning, development, and relationship management of effective partnerships with organisations, and the successful running of a corporate volunteering program.
Reporting to the Head of Impact & Engagement, you will research and develop a new business pipeline and cultivate opportunities into long-term, valuable commercial partnerships for local and international projects.
You will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of existing partnerships, identifying mutually beneficial growth opportunities of the partnerships and volunteering partners. This position also works closely with the Australian and International Programs team to develop submissions and income from corporate foundation grant opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Identify, research and build new partnerships with corporations and foundations
- Develop and manage a new business prospect pipeline to meet financial targets
- Create tailored, compelling partnership proposals and engagement plans
- Pitch and present at senior level
- Attend meetings, functions and volunteering activities as necessary, including occasional interstate or overseas travel
- Account Management
- Strengthen connections, and increase value of existing partners - including through staff engagement; campaign requests; attending fundraising and/or networking events; producing project reports and engaging communications
- Ensure the Partnership team’s annual objectives and budgets are being met, proposing adjustments as necessary to meet agreed goals
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- A minimum 3 years’ experience managing successful CSR relationships with corporate, commercial or NFP organisations
- Proven successful relationship management, project management and customer service skills
Desirable:
- A tertiary qualification in business, sales, development or other relevant field
- Experience managing corporate CSR or fundraising campaigns for a NFP in the aid sector
- A proven track record in developing, building and maintaining corporate relationships
- Work or volunteer experience with domestic programs or international aid and development/poverty reduction programs
