We are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to drive our vision, mission, and values while ensuring the long-term sustainability and growth of the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnerships & Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, funding bodies, service providers, and community organisations to further organisational objectives. Engage and maintain strong, transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders to maintain trust and satisfaction.
- Operational Oversight & Performance Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective and efficient management of resources, services, and people.
- Organisational Sustainability, Innovation & Growth: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and resilience, ensuring long-term sustainability of operations and services.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring high levels of staff satisfaction, retention, and performance.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure the organisation operates within legal, regulatory, and governance frameworks, including risk management, compliance, and financial oversight.
- Workplace Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards across all levels of the organisation.
About You:
You will be:
- A strong, visionary leader with proven experience in senior management or executive roles, ideally within the social housing or disability sector.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, operational oversight, and organisational sustainability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- A deep commitment to advocacy, lobbying, and creating impactful change for vulnerable communities.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets, securing funding, and ensuring long-term financial health.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, driving cultural change, and fostering an inclusive environment.
- A collaborative leader who excels in managing complex partnerships, both internal and external.
Qualifications:
You will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Business Administration, Social Services, or related field) and/or Extensive experience in senior leadership, preferably within the housing, social services, or disability sectors. (required)
- Expertise in governance, risk management, and financial management. (required)
- High-level negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. (required)
- Knowledge and experience of Australian social, affordable and disability housing frameworks (required)
- Knowledge and experience in Australian Capital Territory housing policy and frameworks (desirable)
