ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Lead, Client Engagement and Inclusion is a leadership position within the Engagement and Support Services team. Reporting to the Head of Engagement and Support Services, this role champions the implementation of Haven Home Safe's Client Voice Framework, engagement and Placemaking initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Haven Home Safe's client engagement strategies and community development initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for improving housing options for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness, social justice, innovative thinking, and a collaborative approach to this challenging and rewarding position.

We're looking for someone who can...

  • Lead the implementation of Haven Home Safe’s Client Voice Framework's 5-year action plan
  • Champion client at the core approaches across organisational culture, systems, policies and procedures
  • Design and implement innovative engagement techniques and research methods
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams on end-to-end development of Haven Home Safe products
  • Implement the Haven Home Safe Placemaking Live Well Framework across new and existing builds
  • Provide expert advice on participation, equitable access, inclusion, and placemaking
  • Supervise and mentor the Client Engagement and Inclusion team
  • Play a leadership role across Haven Home Safe and support the Head of Engagement and Support Services

THE ESSENTIALS

Experience

  • 3+ years in community engagement, with expertise in best practice principles (preferably IAP2)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage staff to transform and embed change across organisations
  • In-depth understanding of homelessness and social housing sectors
  • Proven track record in urban renewal, placemaking, and trauma-informed approaches
  • Strong project management skills, including budget creation and work plan development
  • Expertise in developing and delivering engagement and participation strategies and plans

  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities
  • Capacity to work autonomously and adapt to complex environments
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
  • Proficient in public speaking and presentations
  • Alignment with Haven Home Safe's values and purpose

Qualifications/Licences

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded
  • Valid driver's license
  • Satisfactory National Police History check, Working with Children Check, & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • International police check for applicants with overseas residency of 12+ months in the past 10 years
