Established in 2006, headspace is a well-recognised, national not-for-profit organisation making a difference to the lives of young people aged 12-25 years. headspace enables young people and their families to access information and support through a national network of centres and services, and drives community awareness and education about youth mental health, early intervention and help seeking.
Operating across six states, the headspace Youth Early Psychosis Program (hYEPP) is an integrated and holistic service for young people experiencing early psychosis, or at risk of developing psychosis, and their families. Reporting to the Head of Centre Services and working closely with the National Centre Services Manager, the hYEPP Services Manager will play a leading role in co-developing and maintaining communication and governance mechanisms across the national hYEPP initiative. The hYEPP Services Manager will lead headspace National’s hYEPP data collection and reporting activities and will be responsible for providing high level clinical advice and support to hYEPP teams regarding the delivery and integration of hYEPP services with the primary headspace platform.
headspace is looking for an individual with approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant allied health discipline, including psychology, mental health, nursing, occupational therapy, social work, or counselling, with membership of an appropriate professional body. The incumbent will have demonstrated experience in, or knowledge of, the delivery of early psychosis youth services and experience, or understanding, of service management and service integration within a primary mental health setting. Strong stakeholder management skills are required, along with a sound knowledge of the principles of data collection and program evaluation, with demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.
In return we offer a flexible and dynamic environment where you have the opportunity to truly make a difference to young Australians. Competitive remuneration is offered, dependent on skills and experience, and includes generous salary packaging opportunities. This role is offered until 30 June 2020, in line with our funding term, and may be filled on a full time or part time (0.8 FTE) basis.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
