About the role
This exciting and diverse position will report to the Head of Operations First Nations Cultural Practice and Engagement and will work closely with other members of the First Nations Cultural Practice and Engagement team.
The project support coordinator is responsible for:
- Providing key support for all meetings of the Cultural Practice and Engagement team
- Providing high level assistance to the Cultural Practice and Engagement team
- Providing systems training and guidance to project staff
- Supporting collection and development of tools, resources, and training
- Reviewing project plans
- Developing and implementing program and project processes
- Provide high-level administration support to project meetings
- Organise and support the administrative aspects of workshops, seminars, conferences and events
- Maintaining intranet content
- Supporting financial and administrative aspects including processing invoices, setting up suppliers, tracking budgets and contributing to financial reports

- Significant experience working in mental health, health, social/community services or education sector.
- Demonstrated project management experience with comprehensive knowledge of project management life cycle, principles, processes, and tools.
- Ability to effectively support the management and oversight projects to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and sensitively with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences.
- Highly regarded team player with a proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience reporting to senior managers and executives.
- Personal productivity skills, including planning work, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
- A commitment to learning and applying new skills.
- Willingness to seek and take on feedback and adapt in order to succeed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook), with the ability to utilise advanced features and functions to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Willingness to undertake training to gain knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander systems and social and emotional wellbeing frameworks.
