Hear and Say is a Queensland wide provider of speech pathology and audiology services. We operate state-wide and support people of all ages - from newborn babies, to toddlers, school-age children, and adults.

An exciting opportunity currently exits for a suitably experience and motivated individual to join our dynamic and growing allied health organisation in the permanent full-time position of Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will support the operations of the organisation and contribute to a high-performance culture of all staff. This role will be responsible for managing and executing the strategic plan goals and day-to-day operations within the business support/administration, business intelligence/continuous improvement and operations (facilities/assets, risk, IT) functions of our business.

Requiring a collaborative, agile and hands-on approach across the wider business you will lead a team of operational staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement strategies that drive success and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you have proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role, ideally within the Not-For-Profit, Health and/or Education sectors (exposure to NDIS is highly desirable). You will also possess:

  • Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience within multi-disciplinary teams, with a collaborative and positive leadership approach and the ability to provide mentoring, guidance, performance management, and appropriate training.
  • Ability to present at both internal and external meetings and liaise with all internal/external stakeholders to support the achievement of Hear and Say objectives.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing core functions of facilities/asset/risk management, IT, administration/service delivery and business intelligence, coupled with demonstrated experience in successfully driving continuous improvement projects in a collaborative manner to improve operational efficiencies and support business growth.
  • Demonstrated key understanding of the changing business environment and key market drivers and trends within an Health setting.
  • Excellence in customer service, meticulous attention to detail as well as effective time management, organisational and problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic work environment.

Other mandatory requirements of this role include-

  • Eligibility to clear probity checks including disability worker screening and working with children check (Blue Card / Yellow Card).
  • Criminal history check clear of dishonest type offenses
  • A current open driver’s licence is preferred, along with the ability to travel to other sites as required.
