CEO Executive Liaison and Assistant

We’re looking for someone very special to help build on our incredible growth as an award-winning, innovative youth charity. As our CEO Executive Liaison and Assistant, you’ll work closely to support the CEO to oversee CEO projects and provide comprehensive administrative and operational support. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities. You will collaborate with our entire team, dedicated volunteers, partnerships, and participants, helping young people clarify their direction in life.

Highway is an award winning, innovative youth charity established in Melbourne, dedicated to meeting young people exactly where they are. We specialise in connection and addressing loneliness among young people. We empower youth to discover their confidence, forge meaningful connections, and find their unique place in the world through the strength of community. With our transformative one-on-one, group sessions and engaging workshops—both online and face-to-face—we empower youth across Australia to discover their unique place in the world and embrace their most authentic selves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive support to the CEO in managing projects and daily operations.
  • Handle administrative tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across the organisation, including with team members, volunteers, and participants.
  • Assist in coordinating events and programs that empower youth.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people.
  • A team player who thrives in dynamic environments and can manage a diverse range of responsibilities.
  • Previous administrative or operational experience is an asset, though passion, potential, and integrity are most important.
  • You’ll be the first point of call for our Highway Youth Facilitators and participants, so we’re looking for someone very special.

About the role

  • Melbourne-based.
  • This role is structured as a three-day work week that integrates an option to work from home while also ensuring in-office collaboration remains essential.
