Hireup

We’re Hireup, where purpose meets technology.

Hello, nice to meet you! We’re an online platform and community for people with disability and their families, anywhere in Australia, to find, hire and manage local support workers who fit their needs and share their interests. Whether it’s support with personal care, getting to work or catching a footy game, we give individuals the tools and technology to pursue a good life on their own terms - a life of choice, independence and control.

At Hireup, you’ll become a critical part of an exciting team, championing this purpose for people with a disability. Wherever you fit best within our organisation, from tech to support and everything else in between, this purpose will ignite you, and our united, grounded and autonomous workplace will help you flourish.

And what does this look like for you? A life at Hireup is genuinely fulfilling. Here you’re free to explore your potential, experiment and grow, knowing you have the support of an established, investor-backed organisation in a culture defined by empathy, unity, equality and authenticity. We’re also growing across Australia's major cities and proud to offer flexibility in how and where you do your best work - whether office-based, hybrid or fully remote.

About the role

Reporting initially into the Co-CEO, you will take responsibility in your city for building Hireup’s overall presence and service delivery teams (Success Services) that are solving problems for people and making sure Hireup works for everyone who wants to use it.

You will have direct oversight and responsibility for the operational management and performance of our service delivery teams and their growth targets. This will involve working closely with Support Office leaders to build out and manage local, city-based ‘Success Teams’ - which include front line Relationship Managers, Team Builders and Team Managers.

You will also be responsible for building your own leadership profile amongst our local community. Being the ultimate representative for Hireup’s work in your city will mean our community - our clients, workers and sector partners - will want to get to know you. Providing passionate, visible leadership by staying connected to our community will be a very important part of the job.

  • Operational leadership- You will become the go-to operational leader in your city. You will act as a point of coordination between our local city team and central support office team and work quickly to focus our people and resources on performance outcomes.
  • Team building- You will build, train and lead a high performing group of Team Leads and Coordinators (part of our Success Services). You will have direct oversight and responsibility for these Success Service teams, and indirect responsibilities for cultural leadership of our broader team in your city. You will play a connecting role for our entire city team - connecting all our people to the community we’re here to serve.
  • Performance management- You will take responsibility for the performance and results of our local Success teams, creating an environment and culture in which they can thrive and grow. You will work closely with the business to help set and reach local KPIs and growth targets.
  • Growth and engagement- Spending time with Hireup clients and support workers, you will establish our presence in the local disability community and facilitate our local market growth and engagement.

Your background

  • Operational experience- demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex operational environment, as well as experience managing direct reports within an operations team.
  • Strong disability sector knowledge is essential- someone who knows the Australian and local disability sector and who understand the value of high quality supports.
  • People leadership- someone with great people leadership skills, who has built cross-functional teams from scratch in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Results driven- someone with high levels of attention to detail, who can demonstrate an ability for managing people, resources and efforts towards achieving clear results.
  • A strong self-starter- with great communication and organisational skills, with a “can do” attitude, who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the details.

Your Benefits

  • Flexible work environment to balance the needs of your role, home and family life
  • Generous leave options including 12 weeks paid parental leave and 7 additional days to help you pursue your ‘good life’ and learning goals
