THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $114,788 per annum + 11% super + annual leave loading.

Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.

Location: Bourke St and Moorabbin Campus

WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.

Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.

Position Status: Ongoing appointment, with a 6-month qualifying period.

The Department of Vocational Education and Training Nursing Programs is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Education Manager to effectively design vocational education and training courses, as well as manage staff and students.

You'll drive strategic planning, operational management, and business development to ensure our department meets its service targets. Compliance is key, and you'll play a pivotal role in adhering to ASQA and funding agreement requirements whilst monitoring compliance processes, liaising with senior staff, and ensuring quality assurance.

Managing various courses within the department, you'll oversee development, delivery, assessment, and student outcomes in line with Institute policies and regulatory standards. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and you'll work closely with key clients to develop strategies and programs that elevate our courses and services.

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance requirements and the development and maintenance of compliance documentation for ASQA and regulatory authorities.
  • Proficient educational leader/manager with extensive experience in leading, motivating, and supervising a team of teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Proficiency in the application of a range of adult teaching methodologies, techniques, and standards appropriate to the course areas of the department.
  • Up-to-date with current issues and developments in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
  • Expertise in the analysis, design, and development of adult education learning solutions, including curriculum/course material and online learning material development.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills including the ability to establish strong links with industry.

Qualifications

  • An approved course of adult teacher training accredited at the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 6 or above.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing + be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
