THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Salary: $33.34 - $35.28 p/h + 11.5% super
  • Location: Moorabbin, Chadstone and Glen Waverley Campuses.
  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
  • Position Status: Casual

The Faculty of Education and Foundation Studies provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. The department of Social Inclusion is currently seeking two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to effectively support learners with a disability and diverse learning needs to achieve their study potential through direct support in the classroom, vocational training areas, external venues, and other supportive learning environments.

ABOUT YOU

  • Certificate IV in Education Support, Disability or Community Services and experience of working with young people who have a disability or diverse needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with adolescent learners who have a disability or diverse learning needs.
  • Establishing a rapport and engaging with young people who have a disability through an understanding of their environment and diverse learning needs.
  • Demonstrated high levels of punctuality and reliability, thoroughness, and accuracy.
  • Proven time management and organisational skills including the ability to use initiative and function effectively with limited supervision.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, and customer service skill, with an ability to liaise effectively with learners.
  • A current and valid driver’s licence is required.
