THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Salary: $104,883 - $114,252 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
  • Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT
  • Location: Chadstone campus, onsite parking.
  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining a Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining a Police Check
  • Employment Type: Ongoing contract of employment, with a 6-month qualifying period.

We are seeking a passionate Diversity & Equity Manager to drive meaningful change across the Institute. This role will lead the development and implementation of our Diversity & Equity Strategy, including initiatives such as the Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP), Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), and Disability Action Plan.

As a key advisor, you will collaborate with senior leaders, managers, and external stakeholders to embed diversity and equity best practices across the organisation. You will also provide expertise on workplace culture and engagement, and compliance with relevant legislation, including the Gender Equality Act (2020).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Diversity & Equity Strategy.
  • Lead and support initiatives such as Holmesglen’s Pride Network and Respect and Equality in TAFE
  • Monitor and report on diversity and inclusion progress, including gender audits and compliance with the Gender Equality Commission.
  • Provide expert advice and training on diversity, equity, and cultural change.
  • Support the development of employee engagement surveys and action plans.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to enhance organisational culture.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in diversity, equity, and organisational development.
  • Strong knowledge of diversity and equity legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide meaningful insights to inform decision-making.
  • Experience in program development, policy implementation, and culture transformation.
  • A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Organisation Development, Learning & Development, or Strategic HR would be highly regarded.
