THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Salary: $121,235 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading.
  • Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
  • Location: Chadstone campus.
  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
  • Position Status: Ongoing contract of employment, with a 6-month qualifying period.

Holmesglen is seeking a Manager for Student Engagement and Equity, playing a crucial role in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our educational programs and student community.

In this position, you will lead a diverse team, overseeing student life programs, disability support, the First Nations Unit, student complaints, appeals, and advisory services. Your primary responsibility will be to drive strategic initiatives that prioritise student voice, partnership, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

ABOUT YOU

  • Postgraduate qualification in social work, community services, diversity and inclusion, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and background of practices that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with the Victorian Aboriginal community, disability support, student life, complaints, and legal standards.
  • Ability to work towards a vision and meet goals whilst managing sensitive information, developing services, and maintaining Institute operational standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to engage students, employees, and other stakeholders to foster positive outcomes.
  • Proven expertise in leading and strategically managing large, diverse staff groups, with a focus on client-centred service management.
  • Skills in managing human, financial, and physical resources, as well as budgeting.
