The Student Wellbeing Department provides comprehensive counselling and welfare services to support the holistic health and welfare of students. This encompasses providing short-term counselling sessions, crisis intervention and mental health support services across all Holmesglen campuses. Through collaboration with Holmesglen departments and community resources, the department supports students to access necessary support systems to navigate challenges, promote resilience and foster a positive educational and personal experience.
Holmesglen is seeking a dedicated Safer Community Team Lead to join our Student Wellbeing department. In this pivotal role, you will act as the first point of contact for staff and student disclosures of incidents related to unsafe or concerning behaviour. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the Safer Community model by embedding primary prevention activities and respectful relationship’s education into student and staff programs. Coordinating operational delivery, including case allocation and staff management, will be a key aspect of the role.
As a leader, you will chair the Safer Community Committee and provide direct case management support, including risk assessments and safety planning. Analysing incident trends and building strong professional relationships across the Institute will be essential.
