THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
  • Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.2 EFT.
  • Location: Glen Waverley Campus.
  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
  • Position Status: Contract of employment to 31 December 2025.

Holmesglen is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher – Environment (Landscape Construction) to deliver high-quality vocational education. You will develop engaging delivery and assessment tools to equip students with the skills required for success in the landscape construction industry.

In this role, you will guide students through their learning journey, helping them develop the knowledge and practical expertise to build a successful career in landscape construction. From course inquiry to assessment, you will support students with diverse teaching strategies tailored to individual learning needs.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven industry experience in landscape construction, including knowledge of current technologies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) policies, training packages, national frameworks, and effective training strategies.
  • Skilled in applying contemporary teaching methods, adapting to diverse learners, and fostering student autonomy.
  • Proficient in technology-enhanced learning, including the use of online teaching platforms and interactive learning resources.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills to support positive student learning outcomes.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122 or equivalent) and a relevant qualification in landscape construction or a related field.
