THE OPPORTUNITY

  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
  • Position Status: Contract of appointment until 31/12/2024.
  • The Faculty of Health Science, Community and Social Studies at Holmesglen provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong professional links and partnerships within the health and community services sector.

Become a vital part of our team as a Nursing Teacher, specialising in the delivery of the Diploma of Nursing course. Your role involves guiding students through the entire learning process, from initial inquiries to assessing their educational needs.

Additionally, you will implement diverse teaching and assessment strategies and take charge of developing resources and assessment tools, while actively fostering relationships with industry and government bodies. You will collaborate seamlessly within the team, participating in course and coordination activities to ensure the success of our nursing education department.

ABOUT YOU

  • Current industry knowledge and experience, emphasising technology and industry practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in innovative program design and development in the context of flexible learning environments.
  • Relevant industry experience and the ability to demonstrate currency in vocational workplace competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to adapt teaching and assessment strategies for diverse learners.
  • Ability to function autonomously, work independently and/or coordinate work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelor of Nursing and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116; or Certificate IV TAE 40110 including the units TAELLN411 & TAEASS502.
  • Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
