THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Salary: $103,989 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + annual leave loading.
  • Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.8 EFT.
  • Location: Moorabbin campus.
  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
  • Position Status: Ongoing contract of appointment, with a 6-month qualifying period.

Are you passionate about educating the next generation of nurses? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher – Nursing to deliver high-quality education and training at Holmesglen.

In this role, you will guide students through the learning process, from course inquiries to assessment, ensuring they meet their educational and training requirements. You will use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies, develop course materials and assessment tools, and build strong relationships with industry and key government bodies. As part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to course coordination and departmental activities to support student success in nursing programs.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor of Nursing & Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications) + be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Vocational and Higher Education sector and VET policies.
  • Current & extensive industry expertise, particularly in technology and educational practices.
  • Proficiency in contemporary teaching methods and promoting independent learning.
  • Experience in innovative program design, flexible learning, and ICT utilisation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills essential for effective teaching.
  • Ability to function autonomously, work independently and/or coordinate work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
