‘All people in Australia have a safe, affordable home and the opportunity to thrive'
Housing Choices Australia (Housing Choices) is a leading and growing national not-for-profit housing provider. Our goal is to ensure that people are housed in inclusive communities and to create homes that encourage a sense of belonging. We own and/or manage more than 7,000 homes, accommodating over 8500 tenants across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia.
We provide a culture that supports individuals to be their best, with opportunities for personal and career development. We are committed to cultivating an equal, diverse, and inclusive environment for our staff, residents, and stakeholders.
As a leading provider of housing for people with disability, including Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Housing Choices has been awarded a two-year grant under the Australian Government’s Quality and Safeguarding Support for NDIS Providers Grants Program. In this role, you will be responsible for leading project planning and delivery, ensuring that the project delivers its intended outcomes of developing and delivering training to Housing and Property Officers, covering disability rights, recognising signs of abuse or neglect, legislative requirements, and safeguarding measures. You will also be responsible for leading work with partners and sub-contractors to co design training materials and an accessible online platform of accessible safeguarding resources and delivery training to front line staff.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in the disability sector, and be able to apply your project management, training and resource development expertise to lead the project through to its successful completion. You will also bring a strong understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and a true commitment to co-designing solutions with people with disability.
